There is a variety of private luxury Lodge venues we can book for you in the Big 5 Timbavati Game Reserve. As there are no fences between the Kruger National Park and the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, the game reserve enjoys a wide variety of excellent wildlife sightings, including the big five and more than its fair share of cheetah and wild dog. Home too, to the White Lion of the Timbavati although these are rarely seen.
Big five Game viewing is exceptional in the Timbavati, with an abundance of elephant, buffalo, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, waterbuck and warthog, together with their attendant predators: lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. The larger and rarer antelopes like Roan, Eland and Tsessebe have been slow to return to the area, but the critically endangered African wild dog is a regular visitor.

Shindzela Tented Camp Shindzela Tented Camp in the Timbavati Game Reserve has twelve tents, each with a wooden entrance door, adjustable canvas flaps for windows, and mesh to keep insects out. All tents have a thatch roof and porch, designed to cool the tents in summer.
